community, and involve iSTORM employees in such, through a not-for-profit
A letter from John:
I want to start off by thanking you for your involvement in the
Children's Theatre. Just by coming to the site you've expressed
an interest in being involved, and for that I thank you.
The iSTORM Children's Theatre was formed in the summer of 2000,
with the desire to create something that would have an enduring
positive impact on Kingston and it's children. My Internet development
company, named iSTORM New Media, is a successful business in both
the private and public sectors, but it lacked a local element. All
of our work involves companies not located in Kingston, so we couldn't
say that we made Kingston a better place to live.
The project began with a couple of meetings between myself and Kirsi
and has developed into a company that is now in it's second year,
has several productions under it's belt, and has garnered support
from dozens of local businesses.
The goal and focus of the theatre company was clear: to provide
an outlet through which the creative energies of iSTORM could enrich
Kingston in a positive and lasting way. The theatre company allows
us to reach out into the community and encourages our employees
to get involved and make a difference within their neighborhoods.
The bottom line is that we love Kingston. We have
chosen it as our home. It is where we live, work, and raise our
own children. We hope and feel that our endeavor helps to make Kingston
an even better place.
